At Stockport Village Nursery we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum guidance which covers the below 6 key areas of child development. This is a framework put together by the DCSF (Department for Children, Schools & Families) & covers ages from 0-5 years old. We always strive to ensure our nursery sets itself extremely high standards to ensure we act as a benchmark to other nurseries in the Greater Manchester area. We have are regulated by Ofsted and other governing bodies to ensure our nursery is of top standard. This lays the foundations for the rest of their further education once they finally leave Stockport Village Nursery

We aim to create a stimulating environment offering children first hand experiences & opportunities for them to develop & learn new skills through play enabling them to progress in all of the above six areas. We understand that through observation, interaction & planning we can follow children’s interests & encourage them to be motivated, enthusiastic learners.
All children from 0-5 are allocated a key worker that will encourage, support and develop the individual child’s skills and tend to their needs. Children are observed and assessed and have their own personal progress portfolio. We recognise that you as parents/carers are the most important people in your child’s lives & that the knowledge that you have of them is invaluable, therefore we wish to work in close partnership with you to ensure that your child has the best possible start in their early years.
